SEBELAS SAHABAT KECIL

Maka bersiaplah Yonatan, anak Saul, lalu pergi kepada Daud di koresa. Ia menguatkan kepercayaan Daud kepada Allah [1 Samuel 23:16]

Saya punya sebelas sahabat kecil dari Lembah Baliem, Wamena, di pegunungan Tengah Papua. Awalnya, seorang guru di sana meminta saya dan beberapa teman menjadi sahabat pena murid-muridnya. Persahabatan lewat surat ini dimaksudkan untuk menolong anak-anak agar suka menulis dan melatih mereka mengekspresikan pikirannya. Mereka bercerita tentang alam Wamena yang indah, guru, teman-teman, keluarga, pelajaran yang tidak disukai, juga cita-cita mereka. Hal yang paling membahagiakan buat saya adalah setiap surat selalu ada tiga kalimat wajib; yaitu "I Love You, kak", "Saya akan selalu mendoakan kakak", dan "Tuhan memberkati kakak".

Persahabatan ini tidak hanya berarti bagi sebelas sahabat kecil saya, tetapi juga buat saya. Kasih mereka yang polos dan doa-doa mereka membuat saya mengucap syukur kepada Allah. ini mengingatkan saya pada persahabatan Daud dan Yonatan. Yonatan mengasihi Daud seperti mengasihi dirinya sendiri. Saat Saul, ayahnya, berencana buruk kepada Daud, Yonatan tetap berbuat baik. Di Koresa, Daud dalam keadaan was-was karena nyawanya terancam. Akan tetapi Yonatan menemani Daud, menunjukkan kepada Daud bahwa Tuhan selalu menyertai , dan yang terpenting, menguatkan kepercayaan Daud kepada Allah.

Saya tak meminta sahabat-sahabat saya mendoakan saya, tetapi mereka melakukannya dengan dengan tulus. Dan, saya merasa kasih Allah yang luar biasa. Daud juga pasti mengucap syukur kepada Allah atas penguatan Yonatan, atas sahabat seperti dia. Anda pun dapat bersyukur atas kehadiran sahabat Anda, yang dalam susah maupun senang, menguatkan kepercayaan Anda kepada Allah.

SAHABAT SEJATI TIDAK MEMAKSA ANDA MEMPERCAYAINYA TETAPI IA MEMASTIKAN ANDA MEMPERCAYAI ALLAH.


[ELEVEN FRIENDS OF SMALL]

I had eleven small companions of Baliem Valley, Wamena, in the mountains of central Papua. Initially, a teacher there asked me and some friends became pen pals students. Friendship through this letter is intended to help children to love to write and train them to express his thoughts. They told me about the beautiful natural Wamena, teachers, friends, family, lessons unwelcome, also their ideals. The happiest thing for me is that every letter there are always three sentences mandatory; ie "I Love You, kak", "I will always pray for brother", and "God bless brother". 

This friendship is not only meant for eleven my little friend, but also for me. Love those who are innocent and prayers they make me give thanks to God. This reminds me of the friendship of David and Jonathan. Jonathan loved David like love itself. When Saul, his father, a bad plan to David, Jonathan still doing good. In Horesh, David, in a state of anxiety because his life is threatened. But Jonathan accompany David, showed David that God is always with, and most importantly, strengthen the confidence of David to God. 

I do not ask my friends to pray for me, but they do it with sincerity. And, I feel an incredible love of God. David also certainly thank God for the strengthening of Jonathan, on friends like him. You can be grateful for the presence of your friend, who in difficult and happy, strengthen your trust in God.
