TOK! TOK TOK!

....ia melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki....dan dibaringkan di dalam palungan, karena tidak ada tempat bagi mereka di rumah penginapan [Lukas 2:7]

Tego bingung. Sutinah, istrinya, akan segera melahirkan. Karena kondisi Sutinah sudah lemah, bidan kampung merujuknya ke rumah sakit terdekat yang mempunyai program Jamkesmas. Sesampai di sana, Sutinah ditolak karena semua kamar untuk rawat inap sudah penuh. Tego tidak berani membawa Sutinah ke rumah sakit swasta karena tak sanggup membayar, tetapi juga tidak tega melihat istrinya kesakitan. Dengan langkah penuh harapan, ia menyusuri setiap lorong rumah sakit, berharap ada satu tempat tidur kosong yang lupa terdata oleh petugas rumah sakit supaya Sutinah bisa segera ditolong.

Langkah penuh harapan itu mungkin juga dialami Yusuf sesampai di Betlehem saat berusaha menemukan tempat menginap, sebab Maria hendak bersalin. Mungkin memang tak ada tempat di rumah penginapan yang mereka datangi. Mungkin juga ada, tetapi bukan untuk mereka. Atau memang ada, tetapi pemiliknya tidak mau repot karena melihat kondisi Maria yang hamil tua. Penulis Injil Lukas tidak menjelaskan lebih jauh selain bahwa akhirnya Maria melahirkan anak laki-laki yang dibungkus lampin dan dibaring di palungan, karena tak ada tempat bagi mereka di penginapan.

Kali ini "pintu" itu diketuk lagi. Bukan pintu rumah penginapan, melainkan "pintu hati" kita, sebab ke sanalah Yesus ingin "lahir". Ada baiknya mengambil waktu memeriksa hati. Jangan-jangan hati kita sesak oleh berbagai urusan sehingga tak ada ruang lagi bagi Yesus. Atau jika ada, ruang kosong di hati kita sudah di peruntukkan bagi hal lain. Atau, kita terlalu sibuk sekadar membuka hati bagi kelahiran Sang Juru Selamat. Tok! Tok! Tok!.

ADA BANYAK TEMPAT DI HATI KITA SUDAHKAN YESUS MENEMPATI BAGIAN UTAMANYA?
