MANIPULASI

Katakanlah padaku, dengan harga sekiankah tanah itu kamu jual?" Jawaban perempuan itu, "Betul sekian" [Kisah Para Rasul 5:8]

Apabila menilik perbuatan Ananias dan Safira, seberat apakah kesalahan mereka sehingga tak ada kesempatan kedua? Mari cermati hal ini agar kita tak mengulangi tindakan mereka: Suasana jemaat mula-mula diliputi kegembiraan karena karya Allah begitu nyata dalam persekutuan orang percaya. Sebagai jemaat menjual harta miliknya; bahkan menjual tanahnya untuk kepentingan kelompok. Ananias dan Safira juga. Akan tetapi, setelah menjualnya, dengan sengaja mereka menahan hasil penjualan. Sebetulnya, Petrus serta jemaat mula-mula tidak menuntut Ananias dan Safira menyerahkan keseluruhan hasil penjualan. Sayangnya, Ananias dan Safira mengaku memberikan seluruhnya, padahal mereka menahan sebagian. Itu sebabnya Petrus bertanya, "Dengan harga sekiankah tanah itu kamu jual?"

Mereka dihukum bukan karena tidak mempersembahkan semua hasil tanahnya, melainkan karena dengan sengaja mereka memanipulasi hasil penjualan tanah dan berlaku tidak jujur. Barangkali mereka mengharapkan decak kagum dari komunitas jemaat mula-mula, supaya jemaat mengira mereka memberi banyak. Bagi Petrus, ini adalah penipuan terhadap Roh Kudus. Tentu umat dan Roh Kudus tidak sama. Akan tetapi, Roh Kudus memperhatikan bagaimana orang bersikap terhadap umat Tuhan.

Bagaimana sikap kita terhadap jemaat? Apakah kita kerap terjebak dalam menipulasi, yaitu mengambil untung dari persekutuan jemaat? Ataukah kita tulus melayani dan memberi diri di situ? Tuhan melihat hati kita. Jadilah saluran berkat yang menyenangkan hati-Nya.

KITA TAK PERLU MENCARI PUJIAN SESAMA TUHAN TAHU MENGGANJAR KITA YANG MENYENANGKAN HATI-NYA

Perhaps they expect the admiration of the early church community, so that the church thought they gave a lot. For Peter, this is fraud against the Holy Spirit. Certainly the people and the Holy Spirit are not the same. However, the Holy Spirit how the people behave towards the people of God. 

How does our attitude toward the congregation? Do we often get caught up in manipulation, which took advantage of the fellowship of the church? Or we sincerely serve and give yourself there? God sees our hearts. Be a channel of blessing which pleases Him.
